TB184 - Set Ceremonial Kinpai Cup 金盃

TB184 - Set Ceremonial Kinpai Cup 金盃

This elegant set of kinpai (金盃)—gold-finished ceremonial sake cups—features the auspicious motif of 歳寒三友 (Saikan Sanyū / Three Friends of Winter) paired with the character 寿 (Kotobuki, longevity and felicity).

Each cup is richly finished in a warm gold tone and delicately embossed with pine (松), bamboo (竹), and plum blossom (梅). Together, these three plants symbolize resilience and virtue:
- Pine for endurance and long life
- Bamboo for integrity and flexibility
- Plum for renewal and perseverance through hardship

At the center of each cup appears the raised character 寿, a timeless symbol used in Japan to express wishes for long life, happiness, and celebration. The combination makes these cups especially suitable for New Year celebrations, weddings, anniversaries, kanreki (60th birthday), or other milestone occasions.

The cups are presented in a traditional wooden storage box (kiribako), underscoring their ceremonial nature and making the set ideal for gifting or formal display. While traditionally used for sake during special occasions, they may also be appreciated as decorative objects or collectibles.
