Arita-yaki (有田焼) refers to high-quality Japanese porcelain produced in the town of Arita, located in Saga Prefecture, Kyushu. It is one of Japan’s most renowned ceramics, with a history dating back over 400 years to the early 17th century. Around the exterior runs a beautifully executed band of classic indigo-blue geometric patterns, each motif finely detailed in the crisp, delicate linework typical of high-quality Arita ware.
