A beautiful Inaba Kokufu-yaki (因幡国府焼) matcha bowl by Tanaka Mikishiro (田中幹城) of Yoshimatsu Kiln (吉松窯), presented in its original signed wooden box (tomobako) with the kiln's original information sheet. Finished in a tranquil celadon glaze, this elegant tea bowl reflects the revival of one of Tottori Prefecture's distinctive ceramic traditions and the refined aesthetics of Japanese tea culture.

The bowl is covered in a luminous soft celadon (seiji) glaze, displaying a serene blue-green tone enriched by a delicate network of natural crackle (kan'nyū). Its gently rounded form fits comfortably in the hands, while subtle throwing lines beneath the glaze preserve the warmth and individuality of handmade pottery. The understated design allows the changing hues of whisked matcha to stand out beautifully, making it a wonderful bowl for regular tea practice.

This piece was created by Tanaka Mikishiro (田中幹城) of Yoshimatsu Kiln (吉松窯), a respected potter dedicated to the tradition of Inaba Kokufu-yaki (因幡国府焼). Based in Tottori Prefecture, the kiln draws inspiration from the historic ceramics once produced around the ancient provincial capital of Inaba. The accompanying kiln leaflet explains that Inaba Kokufu-yaki revives the spirit of local pottery traditions while embracing contemporary craftsmanship, using carefully selected local clay and glazes to produce elegant vessels that harmonize with everyday life and the Japanese tea ceremony.
