The bowl features a gently flared form with a light, well-balanced body suited for preparing and enjoying matcha. Its surface is divided into contrasting decorative zones, a hallmark of Oribe style. One side is coated in a rich, translucent copper-green glaze, pooling deeply along the rim and flowing organically down the body, creating natural variations in tone from deep emerald to softer moss hues. This vibrant green contrasts beautifully with the opposing area of creamy white glaze, subtly crackled and warm in tone.
Across the white ground, delicate sakura (cherry blossom) motifs are painted in iron brushwork, their simple yet expressive outlines accompanied by horizontal strokes suggesting drifting petals or spring breezes.
