A vintage set of ceramic figurines representing six of the Seven Lucky Gods (Shichifukujin) from Japanese folklore. These deities are traditionally believed to bring fortune, prosperity, and happiness. Typically, a complete set contains seven gods, but one missing in this set.

They are a group of deities in Japanese folklore believed to bring good fortune, prosperity, health, and happiness. They originate from a blend of Shinto, Buddhist, Taoist, and Hindu traditions, making them a unique symbol of Japan's cultural and religious syncretism.

Top row from left to right: Bishamonten (毘沙門天) – A warrior god, often depicted with a helmet and holding a spear or pagoda, representing authority and protection.

Jurojin (寿老人) – The god of longevity, usually carrying a staff and scroll symbolizing wisdom and long life.

Fukurokuju (福禄寿) – Another god of wisdom and longevity, identifiable by his high elongated forehead, often holding a staff with a scroll or fan. Bottom row from left to right:

Daikokuten (大黒天) – The god of wealth, commerce, and farmers, usually shown with a mallet and standing on rice bales.

Hotei (布袋) – The laughing, pot-bellied god of happiness and abundance, often depicted with a big belly and carrying a cloth sack.

Ebisu (恵比須) – The god of fishermen and luck, often holding a fish (sea bream) and a fishing rod. The last photo shows a scratched on the Hotei's body, not a crack.
