A vintage pair of miniature Kutani-yaki (九谷焼) kokeshi-style ceramic dolls, decorated with bright overglaze colours and delicate gold accents.
Unlike traditional wooden kokeshi, these small figures are made from porcelain or fine ceramic and reinterpret the familiar kokeshi form through the decorative language of Kutani ware, one of Japan’s best-known ceramic traditions.
