TB341 - Kiyomizu-yaki set by Tachikichi たち吉
A beautiful vintage Kiyomizu-yaki ceramic serving bowl set by Tachikichi たち吉, one of Kyoto’s most respected ceramic and tableware houses. Founded in 1752 during the mid-Edo period, Tachikichi has over 260 years of history and is known for its refined balance between traditional Kyoto aesthetics and practical contemporary tableware design.
This set includes five square bowls, finished in a calm grey-blue glaze with subtle speckling and a gentle sheen. The interior of each bowl is decorated with a delicate crane motif, painted in a minimalist Japanese style. The crane stands beside soft blue brush lines, a quiet riverside landscape. This kind of restrained design reflects the Kyoto aesthetic of subtle elegance, where a few simple strokes create a peaceful seasonal atmosphere.
The shape is practical and versatile, suitable for serving small dishes, side dishes, seasonal vegetables, desserts, otsumami, or individual portions during a Japanese-style meal. The modern square form also makes the set easy to pair with both traditional and contemporary table settings.
The set comes with its original fitted box and includes matching chopsticks, making it a lovely gift set or a collectible piece of vintage Japanese tableware.
