K35007 - Shingata by Nidaime Tetsuen
This striking 37cm tall kokeshi by Nidaime Tetsuen is a graceful example of feminine craftsmanship within a traditionally male-dominated world. The doll's long, slender silhouette is adorned with bold, stylized floral motifs painted in dark indigo tones, ascending vertically in symmetrical rhythm. Her serene facial expression, with softly arched brows and delicate eyes, conveys a quiet dignity, while the smooth, polished wood enhances the clarity and contrast of the painted design. Nidaime Tetsuen’s unique hand is visible in the balance of form and detail, refined brushwork, careful composition, and a deep respect for tradition harmoniously come together in this elegant work.
