Vintage rectangular porcelain plates in the Ko-Imari (古伊万里) style, a classic form of Japanese ceramics produced in the early Edo period (17th to early 18th century) in the Arita region of Kyushu.
The plates feature hand-painted cobalt blue underglaze designs depicting traditional Japanese landscape scenes: thatched-roof houses by the water, distant mountains, and flying birds, all rendered with a soft, fluid brushwork typical of early Imari ware.
The geometric border pattern in deep blue adds a striking contrast to the serene central motif. Each plate has a slightly raised rim and a rectangular shape, often used for serving small dishes or sashimi. The subtle imperfections and brush variations reflect their handcrafted nature — hallmarks of authentic Ko-Imari craftsmanship.
Size: 15 x 11 x 3cm (Each)
