This sosaku creative Kokeshi doll is called ‘白梅’ ‘Shiraume’ which means white plum blossoms. Celebrated for his mastery in Tsuchiyu-style Kokeshi. It was created by an award-winning artist 佐々木克己 Katsumi Sasaki.
The doll features a hand-painted serene face with closed eyes and a subtle smile, reflecting a calm and gentle expression. The cylindrical body is adorned with intricate designs, including delicate blossoms and a stylized branch in white on a rich purple background, showcasing the harmony of nature and artistry.
