Vintage Kokeshi by Kyuichi Omori. He was born November 30, 1932, in Shiroishi City as the eldest son of Omori Kyusaburo, a civil engineer. In 1964, he became fascinated with the charm of traditional kokeshi dolls, and as traditional kokeshi dolls were also becoming popular, he studied under Sato Tetsuro , learning the basics of traditional kokeshi painting and coloring. He then set up a potter's wheel at his home in Togatta Kitayama, Togatta Onsen, and continued his business. He taught his eldest son, Hisayuki, how to turn wood. He passed away on December 15, 2015, at the age of 84.

From the end of the Showa era through to the Heisei era, he began to express the rigid and strict style of the Yoshirohei lineage, and his works became more refined. He firmly inherited the styles of Yoshiya and Tetsuro Sato.
